First Impressions

Appearance

for the most part, Prompto is about average height, weight, and build. he stands roughly at 5'8", has blond hair and blue eyes, and a splattering of freckles that are heavily concentrated around his nose and cheekbones. the rest of his body is relatively freckled as well, with much of it appearing around his shoulders and upper back. he's shown to care a lot about his hair, which maintains a fringe that touches downward toward his cheek. he gets frustrated if you compare it to a chocobo's butt, but when it looks the way it does, that probably can't be helped too much. on the dorsal part of his right wrist, there's a barcode that he received upon birth from his time in Niflheim. on his left wrist, there's a tattoo of barbed wire and a small, stylized sun motif on top of his carpal bones. for much of his life, he's hidden the barcode from view with either sweatbands or leather straps, but after the events of his origins were revealed, he's stopped hiding who he is, and it's assumed he's more comfortable about it. he needs corrective lenses to see properly, as he wore glasses when he was a child. it's assumed that he currently wears contacts, and god knows if there's better technology in Eos than our current world, because he's probably worn the same pair for an ungodly amount of time.

Fashion

best described as modernized punk, Prompto wears a dark leopard print pair of denim pants, a black t-shirt with lines criss-crossing in geometric angles, and a dark jean jacket. on the jacket are several patches that he's sewn on, including edgy comments like "it's a beautiful day now watch some bastard mess it up." the back of the jacket reads "DEADORALIVE," and it's seriously questionable as to whether or not this is an official Crownsguard uniform, but that's what he's been given to wear on his long journey to escort the prince to meet his future wife. his boots have a fuzzy lining with a deep red sole. when he's in a more casual setting, he can be seen wearing a burgundy sleeveless shirt with a vest over it, and grey trousers that have "ROUTE 17 Mencemoor" and "Cauthess, DO NOT ENTER" written on them. it's safe to assume that no one enters his trousers with such a vivid warning written so clearly on them. at all times, he can be seen carrying a camera with him no matter where he goes and is apt to stop and take pictures before, during, or after combat.

Demeanor & Attitude

Prompto can be summed up almost entirely by what he says in his DLC episode, and sufficiently represents most of who he is: "My whole life, all I ever wanted was friends. But no one ever wanted me back. So when I finally found people who did want me, I did everything I could to make them stay. And ever since then, I've lived my life in fear: That one day, they'd find out who I really was...and they wouldn't want me anymore."

Voice

his english VA is Robbie Daymond, who brings a wide range to the breadth of Prompto's voice. one moment there'll be an anxiety in his voice that's impossible to miss, and the next he'll be exclaiming loudly about how they're going to eat meat for dinner. he has a tendency to whine about things often, and that can also present itself in his mannerisms, body language, and tone. he does have the propensity to change to a much more serious tone when necessary, however, and when he goes down that route, it's easy to tell that he has some serious self doubt/lack of confidence in himself.

Magic & Telepathy

he's pretty normal! he can shoot pretty well, and has a natural inclination towards understanding how technology works. other than that, he can utilize magic that's been stored up in a bottle, as long as Noctis hands it to him. there's nothing particularly out of the ordinary for his abilities, and it's assumed that he's on par with a regular human being. his head, though, can be a messy place. while he has no mental shielding or ability to keep people out of it, there are a lot of things swarming in there that makes him self-conscious. if there's an opportunity that arises where his thoughts can be read, I'll do my best to keep those in the metatext so that the other party has the ability to pick up on his surface emotions, etc.

☆ Physical contact: he's so touch starved! please go for it. that said, he has a tendency to ignore peoples' personal bubbles, so he might latch on easily depending on how amicable the CR is going.
☆ Mental contact: there's a whole slew of weird feelings involving inferiority and imposter syndrome hanging around in his thoughts. i'm completely open to mental linking if that's something your character can do, and will try my best to describe his thoughts in the metatext.
☆ Fighting/injury: absolutely! ff is an action adventure jrpg and I'm completely down for fighty scenes
☆ Death: can see it happening, but let's talk it out extensively beforehand
